Thank you for your comment. Yes, and as mentioned elsewhere, it seems like this producer is using her power not only to help certain directors (she works with) but allegedly destroy the careers of others.

There is no selection process as such. There’s an open call but it’s a ruse. A French producer, called “God Mother” in the film circuit, someone who is openly Zionist, attended the Jerusalem Film Festival, while a hospital was bombed just across the border in Gaza at the same time, curates the program. This French Producer is a powerful person who has managed to get so many of her own films across sections in Cannes. There are rumblings of a Directory Factory in Indonesia this year or the next year, with the support of a Producer who served in the Jury of Semaine De La Critique this year. An Asian director who lives in Paris and another Asian director who lives in Kuala Lumpur are already in the program for the edition, whenever it takes place.
