It’s important to be cautious when working with production companies, as some may refuse to pay for services rendered. Sheerluxe, a company that allegedly produces small fashion promos for its YouTube channel, is one such example. Despite allegedly agreeing to the height of a table during a shoot and signing off on the set, they later claimed it was too high and demanded changes at the expense of the contractor. When the contractor raised objections and tried to enter the set to make the changes, Sheerluxe refused them access and falsely accused them of refusing to make the changes. Legal action was taken, but the contractor had to write off the loss. It’s possible that Sheerluxe couldn’t afford what they wanted and made excuses to avoid payment. Despite this, they are allegedly currently scouting for new cameras and lighting people for new promos, so it’s important to be wary when working with them.
